Online magazine Inc. has a great list of ‘4 Better Ways to Say “Thank You”‘.
If you’re looking for a better way to express your gratitude, you might want to give one of these options a try.
1. “I really appreciate that.”
Saying “I really appreciate you” or “I really appreciate that” can have a greater impact than simply saying “Thank You” alone. Go even further with specifics. What is it exactly that you appreciate? “I really appreciate that you did…” or “I really appreciate it when you…”
2. “You’re a lifesaver.”
Why? Acknowledge the act that made a difference. “You’re a lifesaver for taking me to the airport on such short notice. I don’t know how I would’ve made my flight otherwise.”
3. “How can I repay you?”
Show the person you appreciate exactly how much you appreciate them. “Thank you for covering my shift at work. How can I repay you?” Goes a long way in conveying their value.
4. Actions speak louder than words.
You don’t have to use words to show gratitude. Send a gift, flowers or return the thanks by returning a future favor.
